I just checked and it appears the reason is the Excel 2007 supports displaying/scrolling multiline formulas so the scroll on scrolling the forumla bar makes sense. One way to fix this is to turn off Universal Scrolling for the Excel application. Once this is checked you will be able to enter a formula command and then scroll to the cell reference. This issue raised it's ugly head in Office 2007 - here is the quick fix. 1.
