i got onto the cyberlink youcam program and it says no video device can be detetced. Why their' webcam can viewed? I just downloaded the new version of windows live that was being requested whenever I logged in. However at home it doesn't. I can tell it is doing this because of the noise that the computer makes to let you know something has been connected to the USB (or disconnected.) It seems to Sometimes if there are multiple VfW sources, the right source needs to be selected. Best would be to disable the webcam in the Device Manager if you really do not want to use it.

If that is the case, check the network settings, because it appears that the accept command is not coming through. If your LifeCam has autofocus capability, it may take a few seconds to focus clearly. basically, the voice part is working... In either case you can try to update the drivers.
Have you tried updating/reinstalling your Adobe Flash version? As far as I know there is no way in Windows itself to disable it, so you need the software that came with your webcam do disable it (of possible). My webcam worked fine a few weeks ago but now for no apparent reason it will not send or receive webcam. Short of getting another web cam, is there any way to program the computer to transmit at 176 X 144?
