The next day I tried to use it and it does not recognise it at all. I can see all the folders and photos through another Dell and camara. Fourthly, check if the card reader is disabled in BIOS settings. Have you checked if the same card is working with any other computer? Sd Card Cannot Be Detected how do I get my "Computer" to have those drives again? Plug in the SD card again and see if the drive letter appears. I installed the software updates and it didn't do anything.

Just as a test I connected it to a USB2 port (on the motherboard) and it worked fine. I went into the Device Manager. Maybe that piece of whatever was dislodged when I removed the card (again!) and reinserted it. i unmounted the card and remounted then it said card has problem and it needs to run "SETUP" hmmm (it didn't say format card) so reinserted it and now phone picked
